Northwest Fire District: Igniting Community Trust Through Research

The Northwest Fire District (NWFD) is a nonprofit, community service organization serving residents and businesses in the northwest Tucson metro area. As a service organization reliant on property tax funding, the NWFD needed to gauge the community’s perception of their fire protection, emergency medical services, and prevention programs. With a rapidly growing population, NWFD sought to ensure alignment with the needs and expectations of its residents and taxpayers.

NüPOINT Marketing was engaged to provide a clear understanding of community sentiment. We began with a comprehensive survey in 2019, assessing awareness, satisfaction, and service usage. The survey established a baseline for key performance indicators. In 2023, NüPOINT conducted a follow-up study to measure shifts in perception over time.

Through this data-driven approach, we provided NWFD with insights into which services were most valued and how the district was perceived by its constituents. These findings were instrumental in shaping NWFD’s community education and public relations strategies, ensuring the organization continued to deliver high-quality services.
