Eric has experience in proposal and grant writing, and research design. He has also worked with large data sets, such as the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) database and the Nonviolent and Violent Campaigns and Outcomes (NAVCO data project.

Additionally, Eric has conducted field research in Ghana and the U.S. as part of his anthropology course work. Eric has a bachelor’s degree in anthropology and a minor in linguistics from Missouri State University. He also has a master’s degree in international security from the University of Arizona.
