Managing Partner & Co-Founder
Jim is one of NüPOINT’s founding partners and is a leading corporate communications and PR pro with more than 30 years’ experience in designing and implementing award-winning communications strategies for global corporations. He managed Strongpoint Marketing’s east coast operations prior to the merger with Mobius New Media, and earlier in his career, led PR at Duracell Batteries. Jim later led PR for the AutoNation retail brand, which at the time, was owned by Huizenga Holdings, which also owned Blockbuster, Republic Industries, the Alamo and other national car rental companies, the Miami Dolphins, the Florida Panthers, and the Florida Marlins.
After his experience there, Jim managed global corporate communications at MBNA Bank, then the world’s largest credit card bank, prior to and during its merger with Bank of America. Jim has designed communications strategies for corporate mergers & acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, initial public offerings, crisis situations, product launches, international expansion projects, brand-building initiatives, media engagement, executive presentations, shareholder communications, investor conferences, Congressional testimony, corporate culture initiatives, internal communication programs, consumer advertising, and more.
He holds a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in communications from The American University in Washington, D.C. Jim and his wife, who teaches Spanish, collect American abstract art from the ‘30s and ‘40s, and own over 300 volumes — some rare — regarding Picasso.
